Hello from a Scott 2225 console system owner

Post: # 4373Post felipegeek »

Hi,

My wife acquired some old furniture including an old console system several months ago. I hooked it up to power a few days ago and found it's working but probably needs maintenance to keep it in good order. I was prompted to join as the only post I've seen on the internet showing a picture of the same receiver unit is on this forum. Looking forward to commiserating about it and seeing how other members fix and use them.

Regards,
-felipe

I certainly will. Once iCloud for Windows decides it's going to sync my recent photos to my PC. It's a rather cursed piece of software.

Welcome Felipe! I'm the one with the "other" Scott 2225 console. I picked mine up because I didn't want it going into firewood. It had lots of problems, and was worked on several times in it's history. My gut feeling is there was a nearby lightning strike that was repaired. The console works fairly well, but I wanted a Dual changer and this had it. The changer in mine was a Dual 1209 (a replacement) that was most likely done in the 70's.
My impression is that this is a very well built console, I'm hoping you will like yours.

Steve
