Hello

Post: # 3862Post mchill502 »

Just wanted to say Hi. New member here.
This is my newly acquired ‘59-‘60 Magnavox Stereo Theater.
Just beginning the restoration of this beauty. Surprisingly all works except the record changer seized as per usual with these. Might be looking a a replacement woofer as well. Noisy voice coil under bass.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for the introduction. We're happy to have you here. This is a good group of guys with all kinds of things they are working with. That's a nice Stereo Theater! And it works! We look forward to following it's resurrection and helping any way we can. Post often and don't be bashful. :D :D ;)

I see a console stereo in the picture. Would you care to identify it? Doesn't look like a Magnavox....

Welcome to the forum, and that's a nice
holiday photo you posted !
I can almost see Santa's face on the picture tube.

Yes, there is a Motorola like yours for sale
around my neck of the woods.
It's too high priced for me, but they are nice
compact consoles.

Welcome! That's a beautiful MCM stereo theater you have there. Did Santa Claus bring it down the chimney? ;) ;) Please share your story as you progress with your restoration. There are lots of things to read here on the forum, which will be a good way to get to know all if us.

Nice introduction. Welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing your beautiful consoles here. Hope you'll be able to share the restoration process. Even though it must be a beast to move, seeing photos like yours makes me want one.

Thanks for joining! I have a 1963 Motorola too! It's reverb is a fun option depending what material you're playing.
