Browsing marketplace and saw this, just curious since I've only seen smaller items from this brand, and couldn't find much info when googled. They must not have made many consoles!

Wonder what the power and speaker lineup is? It's got stereo FM, too.

Ah, it's really Waters-Conley brand, so that fact helped me find some limited info on RadioMuseum. No schematics, but description mentions speakers as a 10" and a 4" per channel with 6AQ5 P-P outputs. Curiosity satisfied, thanks for the references, Electra. Well, this one really might actually qualify as "Rare!" in Marketplace lingo!

Here's something I found while doing a little research on Phonola. This model is 3062A but the cabinet looks the same so maybe just a model number change because of a different year.

Re: Phonola 3064 stereo console
Great story! The article raises a question about the separation control. Heath also used these sometimes in the tube era--my AA-100 integrated amp has one. It was designed to cure the fake stereo "ping-pong effect" by blending the channels in various degrees. Early stereo recordings often put one or more instruments or vices in one channel, the others in the other channel, with no blend between the two. I think it was intended to show that yes, this is "stereo." Guitar in this speaker, singer in that one. In real life, real music isn't one side or the other, it's across the scene. Phase and arrival-time effects between our ears help us locate things.

Somebody must have worked on that unit in the link before it ended up in the thrift store, if the changer and electronics were all functional, since it doesn't sound like that guy did anything significant to it. A great find for $35!
