The Platters....Remember When

I've really been running the gambit of my record collection today. I ran across this old Platters album. "Remember When" is the title of the album, in stereo, on Mercury. Even a hard-core country addict can appreciate the timeless beauty of their material. The lead singer has a gorgeous voice, rangy, clean. All the other four have to do is say "Do Wa" and "Ooooohhhhh" I believe the album I have is a remaster/remake since it is in stereo. I would think the original recordings would have been mono.

According to Mr. Google, the lead singer starting in 1953 was tenor Tony Williams. He had quite a set of pipes....
