Just a reminder that the comet is visible in the western sky now. If you miss it, you'll have to wait 80,000 years to see it again. I just drove 20 miles west to have a clear view out over Lake Michigan at the village of Empire. The beach parking area had a lot of cars. I saw a dark figure in front of me and asked her if she was looking for the comet. Better still, she had seen it and was able to point it out. I had my good binocs with me. It's much more visible with them. There are online guides to when and where to view it.

Re: The comet
I heard about it on line, unfortunately my location is too low to the horizon to see it... you being north of the 45th parallel and alongside of a lake have a good advantage ... my horizon is full of trees I would have liked to have seen it
