My interest in early color TV has increased greatly over the last few years and his videos are incredibly instructional for a TV neophyte!

I learned a lot watching Shango videos, there are some other good ones out there that are very informative as well. Shango videos are great for the troubleshooting process that he goes through.

I thoroughly enjoy Shango's videos. He is great on a TV, never seen anybody like him. He really doesn't get into radio or audio as enthusiastically as TV. Some of the things he does with an old TV he dug out of an abandoned mine or somewhere is nothing short of amazing. He's not concerned about dirt on what he's working on, but always wears gloves to keep from getting germs. I'd like to meet him something, I'd be thrilled if he joined our forum.

I'm 58 and older than Shang066y, JPdylon and DRH4683, yet these two in particular have a depth of knowledge that is amazing to me. They must have been working (also reading old trade publications) overtime to learn what they know!

As a Junior High (1976) scavenger of cast-off consumer electronics, I started with many assumptions and ignorance, preferring simple and older tube equipment. Back then, repairmen were not real helpful and had an increasingly hard job, with advent of transistors and imported equipment of all quality levels.
