A nice visit
I had the opportunity to meet Dennis "Conelrad" one of our forum members this afternoon. I had been familiar with him from years on various forums, but had never met him. He lives not that far from here. We had a really nice visit and it was good to finally meet him. Our wives swapped stories and we just had a great time. We have made plans for more bench time in the future when we can do this again.
Life can be tough. It can be even tougher if you're stupid.....

Re: A nice visit
When meeting Greg for the first time it is easy to see he is a very affable and kind guy.
I was not ready for the surprise upon entering his "radio/TV mancave". The feeling was kinda' like going to the pound; I wanted to take all of them home with me. Wow.
His restorations of some rare and once-beautiful items are flawless, kudos to him for the effort and success. It seems more and more receivers et al are being junked nowadays, and he keeps many in abeyance of that fate.
Yes, some bench time there would be fun, the two of us in a race to see who finishes some repair first. And I can make a mess on his bench for once...

I too can attest to the quality and workmanship of Greg's work. I have been to his home several times on my trips to AZ but that was pre man cave so you are one up on me Dennis. All I have to go by are the photos he has shared on his man cave and what is in it, and what I have seen while in AZ in his home.
