Chris, I believe your door handle has a plastic cover that covers the screw that fastens it to the crank shaft. You lift it from the handle and pivot it at the handle end.

If you remove the door trim panel, expect a trip to the auto parts store to get a pack of the plastic push through studs that helps hold the door in place. They disfigure when pulled and some can't be used again.
