The great Welsh poet, Dylan Thomas, recorded a magazine piece he wrote for Caedmon records, the famous spoken-word record label, and his recording kick-started the label. The piece was "A Child's Christmas in Wales." It's his memory (undoubtedly embellished) of childhood Christmas eves. He has a rich and magical voice and he uses words as though he were playing an instrument. Hearing it is my Christmas eve tradition. you can listen here:
