Fisher Allegro

Post: # 13347Post hermitcrab »

Everyone where I work knows I am pretty much into anything electronic, I got wind from a co-worker of a small fold up changer set ... but it is missing the fold out speakers... he sent me a picture and I thought it was a GE set... until I zoomed it...it is a fisher allegro A-192 ... currently trying to set this deal up with his friend ... I can always build new speakers...

Wow, that does look like a GE trimline unit, but it's Fisher. I wonder what era it's from? I also wonder what it will sound like.

Bill the specs say it is a 1967 solid state with a R-11 chassis claimed to be 35 watts a channel... If the guy will part with it at a decent price , missing the speakers will help my side , and he sent another pic and it has a replacement BSR changer instead of the garrard it was suppose to have ... I know these little fishers do not come up hardly at all ...

Yes not often seen, too bad it's missing the Garrard Model 50, imho it's superior to the BSR. I gave one to Dave MM in a nice DuMont console not long ago.
