Audio History Library
Here is an interesting website, that I find helpful
using the audio manufacturers listings.
There they are organized even by country of origin.

Re: Audio History Library
Somebody went to a lot of trouble assembling that list. There is a lot of good reading there. Thanks for sharing, Mr. Mogul....

On the left side of the page under "Contents" click on the items there and it will take you to the articles. Very good reading, LOTS of stuff I had no idea about. I liked the article on Marantz.....

OK, clicked on "audio categories" and up popped "audio category listings" with lots of cool topics. But I can't pull up any of the contents of the topics.

Re: Audio History Library
The "topics" are a part of the article. There are some items listed in blue that you can click on for further information. I clicked on one about speaker drivers and it worked. The audio article you referenced lists all the various features that make up "audio" from the earliest time, including equipment that enhances audio, like compressors/expanders and dippers/duckers. I don't think I'm familiar with what a "ducker" is.

So there's no content under the various topics?

I'm having the same issue. I get the long list of articles, but can't click on any of them. Maybe it's because I'm using my phone. I'll try on the computer later.

Re: Audio History Library
Tried again. I get exploded view of a loudspeaker and two photos of an LP pressing device. Nothing useful or informative. Three items, that's all.
