KIKO 1340 AM "The Bull"
We have a little flea-power AM station in Apache Junction, mentioned above. They do a really nice job of providing classic country music to the eastern Valley. They may have the best country music on the radio west of the Texas line. They use live DJ's during the day, with canned programming at night and on weekends. "If That Ain't Country" featuring Western Red may have some of THE best old, never on radio before country music I have ever heard. 'If That Ain't Country" has a website if you'd care to look them up. They may be on a station in your area. Well worth listening to if you have access. I listen to them on my Sparton 880, and their signal completely closes the green eye.

Flea power = not clear channel power blaster, right? When I need a dose of country, I turn on the GE E-86 that sits next to the dining room table and is usually tuned to AM 650, WSM in Nashville. They are not "flea power." I'll bet most of us in this half of the country can receive WSM.

We are close enough to "The Bull" that it comes in very well, and sound good with good fidelity. When I get 50 miles from the transmitter in the car, then the fidelity degrades, as one would expect from an AM station. They do a pretty good job for a small station.
