Re: AZ Maggie
It is nice, but it's not stereo. Bill knows about these things. Berkshire, Berkley, something like that. Looks like something is missing. Tuner, maybe?

Re: AZ Maggie
Tuners were an option on some Maggies back then. My '56 Magnasonic is phono-only.electra225 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 06, 2022 12:01 am It is nice, but it's not stereo. Bill knows about these things. Berkshire, Berkley, something like that. Looks like something is missing. Tuner, maybe?

It looks to me like it's a 1959 Magnavox Berkley model 1-SP209F and it is stereo, at least the amp is stereo. The photos are kind of confusing, but I think two of the photos are the matching speaker. Magnavox model S-48.

Re: AZ Maggie
Shouldn't a Berkley have a tuner? What is that missing (?) by the knobs next to the changer?

Re: AZ Maggie
I agree, it looks strange. The record storage is in the aux. speaker so it's not that. The brochure, which I cannot copy and paste for some reason, states it's available as model 1-SR210F which includes the tuner.

Looks like a 2 ch 4x 6V6gt amp? It does appear to have a missing tuner, the space is not finished off like a record compartment would be. I like a 2 pc configuration, good for small places like mine for flexible placement and better stereo.

Re: AZ Maggie
Of course all that wire on the amp means a companion speaker is missing
Zoom in on that amplifier chassis: Amp 185, which my 1SC202 has, correct for a stereo phono-only model.

The aux. speaker is pictured. It's the photo with the lid up for record storage. And if you notice, the tweeters change color between photos. The main units are black, and the aux. unit are aluminum.
