I love these cars. We did one that was hard hit in the front. It had sat in a junkyard for 40 years when it was brought in to restore. Amazingly, most of the goodies were still with the car as far as tumblers and that kind of thing. It had a solid state radio in the instrument panel, but used the production Cadillac tube radio chassis to control seat position, trunk lid, hood, things like that. These cars had the most gorgeous wheels ever put on a car, in my opinion. This is a beautiful car. They are horrendously complicated to restore unless they are almost perfect to start with. It is mentioned that the Lincoln Mark was the inspriation for GM putting this show car into production. An Eldorado Brougham would make a Lincoln Mark look like a Model T in comparison. One cost $13,074 in 1957, with no options. The only thing you had a choice of was exterior color and interior color.
