Re: Halton record player
Hi Bill,
I found one Halton record player in Sams that was
cross-indexed to a Symphonic model.
There was a Halton Lifton Co. per radio museum:

This one has a turn-over crystal cart, so I'd bet it's
not more than a 2 or 3 tube string heater amp.
I love how the seller says:
"Beautiful mid century case in good vintage condition"
Even with a good cleaning, that cabinet covering
will still show plenty of discolorations.

Re: Halton record player
The writing on the inside of the case and the hardware are identical to a little Truetone record player I have. I have always wondered if you could paint Tolex and make it look better. That Tolex is in good condition, but it is water-stained and dirty.
I haven't failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.....Thomas Alva Edison

Looking at the cabinet, I'd guess it smells like a old wet mop.
