Movie cameras

Post: # 6938Post TC Chris »

What the heck, let's inaugurate the off-topic channel!

I've got a big collection of 8 mm home movie cameras. That includes Super 8 and even a few 16 mm. I started buying them on ShopGoodwill, the online Goodwill auction site. Pretty soon there were enough to cover most eras and styles and makers, so I stopped buying. It's interesting to see all the different approaches to a simple task.

My family was never into home movies. Everything was either photos or slides, lots and lots of slides. Somehow, I inherited both Grandparents slide projectors and the slides, as well as my parents. And of course I took photos that I turned into slides. So lots and lots and lots of slides.

I still have grandpa's old Bell and Howell Super 8 projector, along with all the family movies.

And, thank you, Chris, for breaking the new board on our forum! ;) :D :D
