Obituaries are important things. They instruct the living in how to conduct ourselves properly. The best ones work by setting high examples of good behavior. The other ones remind us never to behave like that SOB. This one is of the former kind: it tells us of his "impromptu act of kindness." We all need examples of kindness and generosity to prompt similar behavior. At least I do. I'm always elevated by reading obits like that one.
