Admiral Stereo
Here's an interesting looking unit. Very modern in design.

I like this one. Thanks, Bill.

Re: Admiral Stereo
That's interesting... one channel's amplifier is on the tuner chassis, the other on a separate chassis.

Re: Admiral Stereo
I noticed that too... wonder why it was built that way?

Re: Admiral Stereo
That is a good question, and, I'm guessing it started out as a mono unit. Then, the next year stereo came out and Admiral added a stereo cartridge and another amp. My VM801 is like that. I really like the cabinet on this Admiral and I bet back in the late 50's it was a good seller.
Elton, it's kind of in your neck of the woods.

Re: Admiral Stereo
Wow, that's some quality electronics packed in there compared to my initial impression. Thanks for posting Bill!
I have a similarly styled Admiral 612 that has a simple 2x6AQ5 stereo amp, no tuner, standard "Ensign" record player and simple unlighted control panel under the lid.

That's a very attractive blonde-wood console, and compact too. Likey!!
