I'd like your input.....
A member has suggested that we include a picture when we post on "Finds". Instead of just leaving a link. That's fine with me, but I'd like the consensus of the forum membership. What do you think? It would be more work, but might make a nicer looking forum. This one is up to you guys, I'm fine either way.

Re: I'd like your input.....
Are you referring to a photo of the item in question?

Yes. Instead of just posting a link, you would post a photo of the item as well as the link.

clicking on a link is so easy, and adding photos is... challenging. Don't make it harder.

Would anybody else like to put their two cents in on this topic?

Re: I'd like your input.....
I can see both sides...while it's good to have the pics for posterity as the links can often go away quickly, it can be a pain to post pics, so if any re-sizing is involved I'm not on board. I'd leave it up to individual discretion as it is now.

Re: I'd like your input.....
You shouldn't have to resize a picture you take off the Internet. And, I made a change in the software settings that has, thus far, solved the problem of pictures being too large to post.
Going forward, if I'm not in a huge hurry, I believe I'll post pictures along with the link.
Thanks, guys for your input.

If an item I put up has a number of attachments that could not be seen from a screenshot, I put up the link so the attachments can be seen.

It's still coming along. I will have my first follow up Tuesday. I'm getting tired of this arm holder.

You are on the mend, which is what's important. We'll keep a good thought for a speedy recovery. Not doing anything is hard work, sometimes. Hang in there, Rex.

It's good to know you are inches forward with progress. Do you think the arm holder will be able to come off at your doctor visit? Patience, Rex, Patience.

Re: I'd like your input.....
I'm all for posting these pictures but how does one go about it? Save it and then go back and post it? I tried copying and pasting but that doesn't seem to work on this site. Not for me anyway. I had copied and pasted a picture to WordPad. I then saved it and when I went to post it on here it wouldn't work. It was saved as rich text document.
What would be the easiest way to go about this?

Under the box for typing the message there's a link for "attachments." I clicked on that then selected my photo and hit "open."

For windows 10, hit the start button in the lower left corner, hit All Apps, then go up the list til you see Windows Snip And Sketch. There you will be able to open a capture screen and save it to a document or picture folder to use here.

Hey, that's pretty neat. An old dog can learn new tricks.
Re: I'd like your input.....
I can see both sides but,.........if you do someone will ask for the link. The link will also be better for the board than having a lot of photos after a while.
