Why? For the same reason they tear apart a perfectly good console stereo to make a guitar amp. How many guitar amps do we need? Can't you just go out and buy a new guitar amp? Why mess up a console stereo? And why turn an old TV into a leaky fish tank? Why not just buy a fish tank and let it go at that? That was one of the better hardwood cabinets in the first place used on Astro-Sonic stereos.
