Sams Photofacts Site ?

Post: # 30974Post Hi-Fi-Mogul »

For several days, the Photofacts web site says "We'll be back shortly".

Does everyone else receive this message when site is accessed ?

I don't use Sams' site. I like the Schematic man. Gives good service at a reasonable cost with no drama.

I have used the Schematic Man a couple of times, but Sam's gives me the same message as it does you, Mr. Mogul.

Thanks for the confirmation Bill.

I get access through the library system, which is a great boon.

Yeah, tell us how you access schematics via the library.

This is the response I got from Sam's photofact customer service.

Alan, thank you so much for this information.

I knew there was some kind of problem for the website
to be unavailable for so many days.

Chris, some public libraries have Sam's manuals as part of their stock. Most libraries had them back in the day. They are not that easy to find anymore. I would really suggest you consider The Schematic Man who is on the forum here under Suppliers. I have an index if you need what manual works with a certain chassis. The index on The Schematic Man website is complete as well.

The U-M engineering library had a full set back in the '70s. Seems to me I checked the Michigan State library in East Lansing in the later '70s when I had moved to that region and they had moved it off-site. I'll bet inter-library loan is the route now.

RE: library resource.

Check with your public library in database research area
to see if they have a subscripton.

Schematics I find for free via:

1. Radiomuseum.org
2. Beitmans (worldradiohistory)
3. Archive.org
4. Found posted in other audio forums.

Rider's has them too, and falls under the World Radio History.
