I realize I'm late to the party, but I found this song touching. One could imagine actually "being there" the way the song was presented. Thanks for sharing, Danny.....

Being there had to be horrible as it is in all wars. I was too young to go to Viet Nam, but my older brother was there. He won't hardly talk about it. I think about the soldiers in WWII storming the beaches. They knew there was a good chance that they wouldn't make it out alive, but they did it anyway.

My step gg grandfather died in a Civil War Prison camp.
