A change to Rule 14
So you guys will be aware, the Mods and I have decided to make a modification to Rule 14 in our forum rules. Any new member who registers, but does not post a location or make a post on the forum within 30 days may have their membership deactivated or deleted. The AI spambots are sneaky enough that they register and pose as legit members. They may even post once, then disappear. We need to keep them off the forum. There is typically a "tell" when an AI spambot posts. I won't give that away, but the Mods are on top of them and our procedures up to this point have proven adequate. Some of the new members who post once then disappear are what we refer to as "drive-bys", they get the information they want then move on. Not much we can do about that.

Good rule, I am aware of AI and how to detect when they post.

We need all the help we can get, Mr. MEZ. If you see something suspicious, please reach out to me or one of the mods.

Re: A change to Rule 14
I've noticed that some forums are using a security verification which I'm guessing is used to fight the bots. Is it possible that something like that would help here?
