Magnavox Windsor Console

I bought a Magnavox Windsor mine has the 15” Woofer & the Steven’s Horn. It has the 2-Speed Webster Chicago Turntable & I found a Mint (3—Speed) Webster Chicago Turntable that was Manufactured in 1949. I also found (2) Original Steel (45—RPM
Adaptors). I will get it in June I have to get it shipped from the East Coast. I’m looking for MX-850 Magnavox Turntable but haven’t located one yet.

Good find. Make sure you have help to move it because it's very heavy and it's hard to find a place to hold on to. It's very difficult for two men to move.

I've always wondered why my 1951-ish model 477, chassis CR216, didn't have a HF speaker, since Magnavox seemed to sprinkle them around generously. Later, even lower-end models would have cone-type tweeters at least. And horns seemed to be in favor for the next step up. They didn't cheap out on the changer, so why did they skip one cheap speaker?

Magnavox was famous/infamous for their mixing and matching of components, many times in the same year. Many models could be had with components that were not technically "standard" fitments. My stereo theater has 12" side-firing woofers. If it didn't have remote control, they would have been 15". I think there was an upper portion for a Windsor that included the FM converter and the TV chassis on FBM awhile back. A friend sent me a notification, but I can't find it anymore. The problem I have with the Windsor is it's size and the fact it isn't stereo. Arguably the best Magnavox ever built. The Concert Grand was intended for it's replacement, but the numbers crunchers ruined that effort. If they had combined a Concert Grand and a Stereo Theater, they would have created a stereo Windsor.

Thanks for posting your model 134 Windsor. Mine is similarly equipped and has a Webcor changer that I have not worked on yet.

Is the record changer you are looking for the model that has a reject function activated from a button on the control panel?
