kd lang "Shadowland"

Post: # 29644Post electra225 »

I was not familiar with this artist. I have this CD from that group of material I bought at auction some years ago. She sounds fairly "country", but she has an amazing voice. I may have to add her to my list of "best girl singers". "Wish I Didn't Love You So" is an old standard that she certainly covers nicely. I may see if this album is her normal fare or just one of those fantastic albums from a forgotten artist.

She's really famous. If you didn't see this YouTube suggestion, have a listen... Roy Orbison, honored:

I did use the word "forgotten"...... ;)

Her material was played on radio some years ago, according to the wife. I still believe she has a good voice. rangy, clear, no falsetto. No screech. I think I'll listen to her CD again, more carefully this time...... ;)
