LeAnn Rimes

Post: # 29105Post electra225 »

I have every note this young lady ever recorded that was available to the public. Huge fan, I am. Her story is really unfortunate. Billed, and talented, as the "next" Patsy Cline. She recorded "Blue" when she was like 14 years old. She had a tremendous set of pipes for a kid. Fame going to her head, firing her dad as her manager and unfortunate life decisions pretty much derailed her career.

It's tough being a celebrity. They seem to have short lives, often filled with unhappiness and addictions.

Like Marie Osmond, some of LeAnn's early material could get a tad screechy if the material was not carefully selected. Her voice mellowed considerably when she got a couple of years older. Also like Marie Osmond, she let greed derail her career. LeAnn got greedy and tossed her dad to the curb. The Osmond family got greedy and tossed Sonny James to the curb. The result was the same, the ending of two careers.
