I am sick to death of having to mention this to every new member. I have asked nicely, I have posted this in big red letters at the top of the forum index page, done all I know to do. So here it goes.....

Any new member who fails to post their location when they register for membership WILL have their membership deleted. Period, end of story. They may register again if they post their location. This cannot be optional in the age of spambots. There will be no further warnings, nor will their be any further discussion on my part. Other forums get their members to post locations, this one will as well. If we don't get any new members because of this, oh well. Too bad, so sad........

I just deleted "ddalrymple" because there was no location listed. As I type this, we have over 3,000 "guests" trying to shut down the server. Sorry, but this isn't funny anymore.......

By the way, The Talking Machine Forum probably is having this issue also because on days (like today) where it's being Really slow I noticed this...This is probably why that message board running on the same platform is acting up some days.

We are currently working on reformatting this forum. Most of the forum software that is used currently is not being updated in the way of security. We are fortunate to have our Global Administrator who is also our computer guru and forum host. Spambots are a critical problem.
