Buick-Oldmobile-Pontiac car show

Post: # 25677Post electra225 »

The annual "BOP" was today. The Tucson Pontiac club joined the Phoenix chapter at the show, so there was a LOT of Pontiacs. Each louder than the next. Not a lot of big Pontiacs, mostly LOUD Firebirds and GTO's. Many repowered with LS Chevy crate engines. Why anybody would pay money to make their car sound so bad is beyond me. We had a good showing of Buicks. I didn't have my car judged. I have a pickup load of plastic trophies now. I got to spend some time with old friends I hadn't seen in awhile. It was a nice day for a car show, I made it there and back without incident. If my speedometer is accurate (doubtful) I got 8.6 MPG going to the show, 132 miles round trip.

The BOP is now the BOP-C-GMC car show. It should be all-GM but they might lose the Buick and Olds guys if they include Chevy.

For our resident Cadillac guru. I didn't get the year. I think it has the 307 "Y" motor...
