Tonight our downtown theater had a showing of the restored version of Robert Altman's glorious, huge epic from 1975, Nashville. I was weeping with wonder at the end.

But you guys who like land barges would have been weeping earlier. Part way through, one of the characters is walking through an auto scrapyard. A 1063 Olds 98 is sitting on top of a '62 Buick Electra. At that point both were old cars, not yet restorable classics. I was sad to see a '61 Chevy converted via torch to a pickup truck, a sort of poor man's El Camino.
