Happy news!

Post: # 116Post TC Chris »

What happy news to hear that Greg had organized a new forum! And it looks like we've got a bunch of familiar faces and some new ones, too. Bill sent me an e-mail and then Greg too, and after being away from the internet for 3 days I found the new site.

My electronics collection runs from a ca. 1924 Crosley VI, a two-tube regenerative set, to modern solid-state stuff. I only have one stereo console, the little Home-Mark set that I snagged at curbside a couple years ago, but I have bunch of mono consoles--Magnavox, RCA, V-M. Then there are all the misc. devices--turntables, changers, tape recorders & tape decks, receivers, SW sets, a couple transmitters, quite a few radio consoles, and a bunch of little table radios and record players. I just brought back a ca. 1927 Radiola 17 that I snagged from my grandfather's house about 60 years ago. No orphan gets turned away from my door.

Then there are cars and boats. The familiar faces know about my '61 Chevy and '86 Mustang GT. Then there are a couple sailboats and a sea kayak, etc. Here in northern lower Michigan we need boats. What I really need is more hours in the day. Still working way pat normal retirement age....

Glad to see you here Chris!
Yes we on the water in VT also need some boats to go along with the cars, m/c s ('73 Honda CB 125 and '71 Kawa A7 350), and of course those superannuated electronics that are the chief reason we're all here. Enjoy summer!
