Bike stand

Post: # 18431Post TC Chris »

I snapped a photo of my bike stand today. The winter warrior needed its chain oiled. That used to involve kneeling on cold concrete and bending over, with periodic pauses to straighten my back, which complained. So I made this stand. It uses an old rolling-equipment wheel set, hardware-store pipes & fittings, and a pipe clamp set with added wood jaws. Now I am standing to oil the chain, so it is much more likely to get done.

Just inside the garage door, left, is my V-M 566 mahogany console.

That's cool, Chris and very inventive. Now I need to look up your VM566 console. :)

It's a 566 according to my card index, but the 565 has the same cabinet. Mine is mahogany, which pleases me greatly. It looks like this 565:

But mine has an updated 6BQ5 amp:

The 6BQ5 version is the same amp that is in my VM102 aux speaker, and my VM557 portable and my VM562 table top. The last two were designed to be stereo capable.
