Geez, YouTube.... my brother sent me this link about making a propeller-driven bike:

He's retired so he has time to waste on such things. Me, I should be doing something worthwhile. But I watched it.
The guy has a huge machine shop with a water-jet cutter and milling machines and lathes and welders and smoke machines, and he actually makes a propeller attachment after seeing a Picture in an old Popular Mechanics. He's quite gifted at fabrication and also at describing things. It's fun.
Interesting what ads popped up on this one. One for enhancing the size of my manhood, and another for curing bleeding gums. Never saw either one before.

Clever but rather inefficient compared to direct chain/gear drive! One could tired pretty quickly!

Re: Making a propeller-driven bicycle
I commute 6 mi./day by bicycle and you won't find me lining up for one of those. Imagine coming too close to a parked car, or worse, a pedestrian. Just the same, it's cool when somebody has the curiosity to make one just to see what happens. And I wonder what a more efficient propeller design might do, especially one with variable pitch. Wouldn't most of us ill for a shop like that? All those tools, all that space....

He is a young man to have acquired all that space and tools. I wonder if it's all his, or this is where he works professionally?
