It's a miracle the outlasted all his colleagues of that era. He's always been one of my favorites and one of the genuine stars.

I was not a fan of Jerry Lee Lewis the rocker. I started liking him when he turned country, hardcore country. In 1968 he recorded "Another Place, Another Time". This was one of his early country hits. Several other country artists covered the song including Hank Williams, Jr., Carl Butler, Mac Wiseman, Mickey Gilley that I can think of off the top of my head. Jerry Lee recorded on the SMASH label, a division of Mercury Records. Jerry Kennedy produced much of his country material. I don't believe I ever heard a bad version of "Another Place...", but none was better than the Jerry Lee Lewis version. Another one of the greats gone. Thanks for all the great music, Jerry Lee and rest in peace.
