ABS/ESC Alarm On The Explorer

Post: # 10394Post 19&41 »

China syndrome alarm advisories on the info center. What is it? God and the ones who can pony up a K for a code reader would know. $200 doesn't get you a peek into the ABS tent. I had to wait a month until I had another vehicle to get to work with to take it to the shop. Their scanner said it was in the passenger front wheel/brake system They said I could leave it anytime. I told them I had just left it. They called me later in the day to tell me it needed a new wheel bearing. It contains the speed sensor for the ABS/ESC. $320. When I don't have a 2nd vehicle it takes them 3-4 days to do the job. I have a 2nd vehicle? 3-4 hours. Go figure.

A great big red message accompanied by all the alert tones the dash can muster.
