Viva Tubes
Got this flyer in my email today. Thought I'd share it in the event anyone didn't get it. I tried the link in preview to make sure it worked.

Re: Viva Tubes
Thanks, Rex. I bookmarked it for future reference.

Re: Viva Tubes
They might be pricey, but there have been occasions when they had a tube I needed that was otherwise difficult to find.

Re: Viva Tubes
The 12AX7's prices are pretty typical of those around here. If they have them in stock, price may not make a difference if you need one. Some of the audiophool stuff is spendy, but those guys expect to pay more for bragging rights.

Re: Viva Tubes
Never thought I'd see 6SN7s at $120.

Re: Viva Tubes
Those aren't your normal 6SN7's. They have globe envelopes. Don't believe I've ever seen any like that. Wonder what their use would be?

Re: Viva Tubes
I've bookmarked their site however, it's hard to beat AES's prices on new production tubes.
Re: Viva Tubes
Psvane, like LinLai, is a Shuguang spin-off that happened after the SG factory burned and never reopened. Both supposedly make "premium" tubes, but if I want new "premium tubes" I'll wait for WE/Westrex US made.
I don't prefer to use Chinese tubes, luckily I have enough NOS US & Euro of every tube I could conceivably ever need, including new USA made spares for all 24 tubes in the '61 color RCA TV console, and a lot of tubes I don't have amps for right now like 6V6/7408, 7199, 6EU7, 5AR4 &c &c. and around 50-60 of the 12A-7 types, mostly US NIB. I once lucked into ex-IBM styrofoam flat that my late Uncle had bought at an IBM Surplus sale, that had a mix of 100 NOS Telefunken "made in West Germany" 12AX7s and 12AU7, kept a few, and the rest of them paid for our first pontoon boat LOL!
