For those interested in early TV...got pics?

This is not a TV forum, per se. Stereo Theaters, Home Theaters and other three-in-one combination console instruments contain a TV chassis. We can discuss them here, along with stand-alone TV set issues you may care to share.

For those interested in early TV...got pics?

Post: # 7475Post Firedome »

Like shango66 our own Dave MM here is one of the true "Gurus" on these early color "roundie" monsters, he beautifully restored the two I have, a '61 RCA and a '67 Zenith. Since this here category is "Television Chassis" just for starters here's some pics of the chassis of an '61 RCA (I think this is Phil Nelson's) ...I can't even imagine working on this...whew!

Anyone who has an old TV please jump in and show us yours!

He certainly is! He and another forum member are how I got as far with my Stereo Theater as I got before I had to put it aside for a couple years. I look forward to his tutelage when I get back to the project. I also have my parents' first TV, and RCA, and my dad's last black and While console, a Silvertone he was told was made by RCA. Not true, it's built by Warwick. Pictures coming when they get here.
Life can be tough. It can be even tougher if you're stupid.....
