Does the "S" in the model number mean that it is stereo? In any case, with those big speakers, it should be a dandy! I wish it was closer..... ;) ;)

I'm guessing that if it's stereo, the 2nd channel was in a separate unit. The two-woofer plan for mono was common with Maggie, too--my '56 Provincial Serenade and Magnasonic both have two 12" for mono.

That is one of RCA's conversion units. The amp is built to be stereo and yes to make it stereo you need the aux. speaker. There is a switch on the amp that that turns it from a PP mono amp to a single ended stereo amp. I have a blonde one with the aux speaker that is sitting in storage. The cabinets on both need restoration along with the guts.
