This was one of three albums she cut, starting in 1973 when she was 13 years old. 1974 brought "Who's Sorry Now" and 1975 was "In My Little Corner Of The World". These three albums were on MGM, produced by Sonny James. His influence on the albums was evident, witness the harpsichord, chorus with mezzo-soprano and some of his standards throughout the years. IMHO, these three albums were the zenith of her recording career. She did some later country material with Dan Seals, but it was marginal, at best. The material was not suited for her voice. As she aged, her voice got more husky and not as clean as it is in these albums. There are times she "reaches" for the notes, typical of a young person, but her talent is apparent. I don't know why her relationship with Sonny James ended after these albums, but my guess would be that either the material or Sonny James himself may have been to "rural" for the Osmonds, so Sonny James got kicked to the curb. With him went Marie's recording career.....
Here is her cover of the old Connie Francis standard "Everybody is Somebody's Fool"...
