New Video Security System

My old conventional wireless CCTV system is starting to go south, with the motion detection becoming less and less sensitive. After hunting around online, I finally decided to go with Blink from Amazon. It uses small wireless cameras that operate from a pair of lithium AA cells. They tie into my WiFi router and then to a monitoring module with a high capacity USB flash memory. I've had them online for about a week and a half. It uses a phone application that offers live stream or battery conserving still image. In addition it keeps records of each time the motion detect feature is tripped. It saves all to the flash drive and cloud storage. The batteries are supposed to last 6 months, depending on usage. They are armed and disarmed through the phone. I got 2 for indoor use and 2 outdoor units. My first motion detection capture was a bird sitting on my back deck rail about 15 ft. from the camera. My next was a bird inspecting my front camera above my porch light. Then they get cats crossing my front porch.
