Here on the 44th parallel (I'm in Bay City for the weekend), we had a nice display of the Northern Lights last night, together with the Perseids meteor shower. It was a two-fer in the skies.

Spaceweather.com predicts a good possibility of more tonight-- we're in a "geomagnetic storm" caused by coronal mass ejections from the sun. They said last night's show was visible as far south as Texas.

Wow! If I didn't have to be up for work at 3:30am I would try to see it tonight...
