For the Michigan folks....

I think it is refreshing to see a company with local ties solve a problem and support American workers at the same time.

Interesting addition of modern technology to something "iconic".

Yay for local innovation!

I drive like my Dad now, so I'm rarely apprehensive about the flashing lights. These days they are a sign that somebody has slid into a ditch, so I should slow down and avoid it myself.

I used to watch out more for the "bubble gum machine" when I was driving a truck than I do now. I don't like those flashy lights used out here, where every light on the vehicle flashes. They don't use bubble gums out here on cop cars.

I also like the edgelit signs on their hoods too. Their cars are unique, right down to their MSP blue paint jobs. The authority I work for buys Ford fleet vehicles. A couple of years ago they got an MSP blue vehicle. I told one of our police that must've been a mistake, them getting that car. Sure enough, it was gone within 2 weeks.

The MSP sold off old vehicles at auction. A former boss's husband bought one in Lansing, a '70s Plymouth--he always bought "bargain" cars that ended up costing more than a better one would have. And tonight I passed a Chevy SUV in "MSP blue" that gave me that foot-off-accelerator reflex until i realized that it was a mustered-out version.
