About 20 yrs ago I found a similar sized (like 8ft w/ speakers) Barzilay console in rather over-the-top Italian style (think arches!) in a rural Vermont town, owned by a Dr who'd died. The widow was moving to California and had placed a CL ad just saying "stereo and cabinet" or similar simple ad with no details. I was shocked when I got there to find: previously mentioned huge Barzilay cabinet, H-K Citation I & II tube amp and tuner, Miracord TT, a more modern (Kenwood? Onkyo?) tuner (I forget) and 2 huge separate matching speakers with the most TOL 15" University triaxial drivers. One of my very best finds ever, and I think the price was around 200? I gave her $300 and thanked her profusely. Anyhow it was immediately all sold off to help pay kid's college bills. Easy come, easy go. But sometimes luck, and sometimes a knowledge of audio, comes in handy.
This Mc/Barzily puts that find in the shade however!
