Just finished this little Arvin AM set from 1950.
I "needed" a small project and wanted a reason to update my website.

Very nice! I hope you will share more of your projects with the forum. :D :D

Thanks, I had to take a break from repairs to catch up on home projects.
Now that summer is in full force here, I can get back to indoor activity.
Here are some more of my projects from recent years:

I have done a lot more but often forget to take photos along the way.
I have a few more to put on the website but I have to edit photos and write the code
to get them ready.

Great job, Dave. Are your projects keepers or do you sell them? Does Arvin's "Velvet Voice" sound any better than any other radio of similar design?

That's a fabulous job on a radio that most would have junked, good on ya, nice work!

I keep some of my projects and sell others so I don't fill up the house with stuff.
I sold restored radios at a local antique store for about four years so a lot have come and gone.
Several years ago Hi-Fi Mogul and I started tag teaming repairs, he does great work on record changers
and I took care of the associated amplifiers. We did a very nice Fisher Statesman console last year, details are posted in the Fisher
section of this forum.

I'm sure the Arvin Velvet Voice was an ad gimmick, the one I just finished sounds like most other tube AM radios.
