Classic Hifi Care

I have to wonder if the people that post these ads asking this kind of money are guys whose wives said "you need to sell that thing!" and then they tell their wives "I tried honey, but nobody has responded!"

It's a beautiful cabinet, probably TOTL, and by the looks of the control panels probably powerful but Wow!

And that's just for an Admiral. What would a Captain cost????

Rare ? - yes in this case. Never saw an Admiral that interesting, but it is solid state and for a few years the US TV manufacturers really played that up while console HiFi's were still selling well. The plus here is that it is in a nice cabinet, otherwise it would be ignored despite the decent electronics inside. The record player is an Ensign made by Admiral, not exactly as TOTL as the controls look.

I have an Admiral color TV combination from 1965 and the stereo part worked as found, uses T.I. transistors

I guessed the changer was a VM, but I guess lots of companies copied their design.

I am endlessly amused by what people say in these ads. For example, "Speakers all work." Wow, what a deal.

The man's cipherin' isn't very good. Simply a case of a misplaced decimal point.....

Beautiful cabinet design though... I guess some folks think any MCM is a pot at the end of the rainbow.

And sometimes that pot has a flush handle.......
