He will sell the guts separate from the beat-up cabinet. Put those guts into the nice cabinet we talked about earlier. ;)

The 1929 Victor (RE-32?) is one of the most advanced TRF models made, with a bunch f adjustment points to allow it to track accurately. I've got an RE-45, the same device with a phonograph included, an early electric pickup device. It had a massive, separate power supply/power amp with P-P 45 outputs. Mine is unrestored but online sources indicate that they had superior audio and still sound pretty good today. TRF radios tend to have a wider audio bandwidth potential than superhets.

I've always wondered what kind of skill it took to iron sheets, etc. with a mangle.

That's the word I was looking for, "Mangle", thanks Chris. My grandmother had one and as I was growing up, I can remember it setting in the basement laundry room over in the corner. I asked her one day what it was, and she said it was a mangle, it's what we once used to iron sheets and cloths. As far as I know she never used it while I was growing up.
