After too much wasted time searching for
anything on my Dad's old Norelco,
maybe you guys have some ideas.

The shaver was working up to 2 days, ago,
when I pushed the switch to On, nothing happening.

I can't find any wiring diagrams, but I have a feeling
maybe a contact in the On/Off switch broke.

Without an exploded diagram, it's nigh impossible
to determine how to dis-assemble the switch.

This shaver is pretty well-made with a substantial
motor.

There is a capacitor on both sides of the motor.
I don't have a clue on their function.
They don't test open.

Can you test the switch? Have you verified power is prrsent?

Does the unpowered motor turn freely? If not the mechanism might be holding it up.

Looks like a motor with brushes. Have you inspected them?

And it looks like a non-battery model. Didn't know they made them still. My battery versions seem to last about a decade before the batteries fail. Actually, that's an average of the last 3 or 4 of them. The newer ones keep lasting longer.

Yes, you can replace the batteries, but that always ends up being a "someday" project. Tomorrow, I have to shave to go to work. I could adopt the modern unshaved look, but old guys who don't shave for a couple days look like old guys who forgot to shave, or who are probably wearing sweat pants, not like cool, hip, with-it guys that the younger crowd can affect. . Nobody is ever going to mistake me for cool, hip, or with-it, and I don't want to look like an old fart who is too lazy to shave. Or worse, who forgot to shave.

I don't shave, I look like Vinnie the chin. Not an image I want to project. :P
