I just checked and I can change the quality and the picture size. It says that making the picture smaller does make the quality go down. I'm going to have to check into this farther because I bought the camera to produce good quality pictures.
It'll shoot in a RAW (highest quality) format also but you have to do some work with the pictures before they're a finished product. I haven't done that yet and don't know how much extra work is involved but I do want to do it some day to see how much better they turn out.

You might want to look up your new camera on both youtube and amazon. the former for tutorials and the latter for reviews and questions and answers. It can be a big help reading others experiences with your camera.

If you use windows and have your pictures uploaded, you can left click the thumbnail image and choose "edit" and resize your image and see the result before committing the changes to the image. Just find "resize" on the top of the window that comes up. If you work up a image you want to keep,press the floppy disk icon at the top of the window. Til you get used to it, make a copy of the images you are working with.

I don't have any problem resizing images but I didn't know about the floppy disc icon at the top of the page. I'll have to check it out.
