Re: VM 580
That is so tempting. Those have an all in one amp with PP 6BQ5's. Not sure what's in the speakers, I never bothered to search. Since I'm a cheapskate, I wonder if they would take less? I guess I need to think about it, it's partially a no room thing too.

Re: VM 580
I have a framing hammer I could send you. I'm not using it. Maybe you'd have better luck having space added to your home than I have......
Remember what the wise man once told me. "There is always room for just ONE more".........

I'll bet if you have cash money and wave it in his face, he'd at least consider your offer......

Give me the word Bill, I can hold for ya...
Re: VM 580
Those have a really nice amp iirc, and separate speakers give flexibility for placement so space can be used efficiently.
Even at 100 a nice find!

Re: VM 580
Bill,
The speakers are a nice 12 inch woofer offset 45 degrees and a
sealed tweeter.
They sound very good. I had one of these and sold it about
18 months ago.
The controls are nice too. They are double ganged for each
stereo channel, so you can set the sound just how
you like it for each channel.
It's worth the $100, but maybe he'll take $75.
You know some "guitar guy" will take it and rip
the amp out. (no pressure here on you, ha ha !)

Re: VM 580
Thanks, Mr. Mogul, I think! I wish the photos were better, the blurry kind of hides the finish. The seller states it needs to be refinished. Elton, being the kind person he is, has offered to pick it up for me and hold it until I can pick it up.

Sorry, Greg, I was just indicating Elton is a nice guy for offering to pick it up. It's in the communication stage right now.

Re: VM 580
I also have quite a few consoles I may not ever get to. In this market, I have to make them work to sell them.
FB marketplace is my only hope since so few on any of the HIFI forums are close by.
