I recently received an email from one of our "new" members, one that did not complete registration, but found my email address on the forum and reached out to me directly about a previous thread. Yes, that thread did pertain to a subject that another member had posted about previously and that particular thread did have quite a bit of conversation including a couple of things that I contributed.
Having said the above, I am erring on the side of caution. I do not know this person! This person did not follow the RULES, which is first reading the rules and then applying what they read, and then completing ALL of the registration requirements. LOCATION IN THE PROPER PLACE, AVATAR, AND AN INTRODUCTION. We need this so we know the good guys from the bad guys. It is part of our security, and keeping the forum safe. Without the proper identification you are likely not to receive any response via the thread, PM, email, or text. PLEASE, if you truly want to be a part of CLASSIC HIFI CARE, PLEASE follow the RULES and complete your registration. RULES 13,14,15 are a MUST!
Thank you,
Bill

Re: Heads up to all.
Thanks for the reminder, Bill! Thanks for sharing your experience. A VPN can hide IP address or make them appear from somewhere other than their actual location. This is one reason we are so picky about everyone posting their actual location. We have a couple of our earliest members who haven't posted their location. These are no problem we know who they are. The new members from the last three years are where we have started enforcing location requirements. Most other forums require locations as well. Thanks for being on top of security, Bill.
I haven't failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.....Thomas Alva Edison

Re: Heads up to all.
At work, we have an intake process for people seeking service. They must qualify by meeting various criteria. Some people cheat by picking my name (or others') off the phone menu and leaving me a message about their problem. It does not work. I simply ignore cheaters. For a while I'd pass the name and number on to our intake worker for a call-back. Now the info goes into file 13.
