I heard a new version of Hoagy Carmichael & Stuart Gorrell's "Georgia on My Mind" on the radio tonight. The performer's name had escaped me by the time I got home--but it was good. Ray Charles owns the song of course, and others have done good versions too. It's simply a classic song, one of those little gems that populate 20th century American popular music.
